I have the 5.3 Pro version of Winamp installed and whenever I close the application (after a long time reproducing mp3 music files) by clicking the Exit option of the context menu (which appear with a right click on the Winamp icon in the Windows System tray) a rectangular black notice goes out in the top part of my screen with a few red lettering that say something like this:
"Script Failure Guru Meditation #0021.00000A88.11 Script Fatal Error scripts/beatvisualization.maki" please, someone could say me what that it means ..... also happens when I close the application with a similar proceeding in the TaskBar... _________________________________________________________ -Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 -System Manufacturer: TOSHIBA -System Model: Satellite A25 -Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz -Memory: 480MB RAM -DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c -Display Card name: Trident CyberALADDiN-P4 v6.4612.22ICD_SE_NP -Sound Device Description: SoundMAX Digital Audio _________________________________________________________ here is a picture of what I do and the message that goes out for me after closing the Winamp.... |

two things
one: a script failure is a problem with the current skin. Are you using Winamp Modern or a third party skin? and two: the latest version is 5.31 . install that to see if the problem goes way. the computer is never at fault for an error; a human is, though. DO NOT PM me for tech support. No matter what you're doing, use the right tool for the job! |

from your pm, you stated that you use the Winamp Modern skin. did you try installing 5.31?
[Edit --> DJ Egg] And please confirm a clean install of 5.31 with no 3rd-party plugins (see sticky threads at top) the computer is never at fault for an error; a human is, though. DO NOT PM me for tech support. No matter what you're doing, use the right tool for the job! |
