Winamp Crashes

I am not sure if this is a WinAMP problem but i've noticed that my iTunes or my Winamp randomly keep crashing. It opens and I can add media files and play songs individually... but it seems every time i click on anything that has to load something like if i click on an artist, naturally winamp normally puts everything by that artist into the playlist instead my Winamp crashes... No error messages.. it's just a standard Dr. Watson windows crash. It never used to give this error and i don't think i've done anything to cause this. I just was wondering what this could possibly be because i'm going crazy without my music!! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times!! Help please

Thanks
-Brian

At a guess, it's possibly a conflict between Winamp's native iPod support (pmp_ipod.dll) and iTunes' iPod support. Disable one and use the other, but don't have both running concurrently.

To disable Winamp's iPod support, with Winamp closed, move/delete pmp_ipod.dll from the Winamp\Plugins folder (or rename it to eg. pmp_ipod.off)

To disable Itunes' iPod support, set the iPod Service (O23 - Service: iPod Service - Apple Computer, Inc. - E:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe) to one of Manual or Disabled (instead of Automatic) via: Start > Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services > iPod Service > Properties > StartUp Type.

And disable this Startup Item (you can do this via HJT or start > run > msconfig)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iTunesHelper] "E:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe"

I can't see anything else in the HJT log which might be responsible, other than maybe Windows Media Player's Portable Player Detection app...

O21 - SSODL: WPDShServiceObj - {AAA288BA-9A4C-45B0-95D7-94D524869DB5} - E:\WINDOWS\system32\WPDShServiceObj.dll

I did what you suggested and still no luck.. :\

The problem is strange.. iTunes crashes whenever i try to play any song.. Winamp can play songs but i can't click on like the artist or the album.. I have to click on the song individually and then it loads the rest of the songs into the playlist.. Otherwise it will instantly come up with a windows error
