Winamp 5.32 muting between songs
I'm running Winamp 5.32 on Windows XP SP2 and whenever I switch between tracks (either manually or not) my volume drops to 0 and when I go to Windows Volume Control to fix it it says my "Wave" option has been reset to 0, even though my volume is non-zero. How can I get it stop doing this? It has only started happening in the last few days, and only in Winamp. I hate using Windows Media Player to play my music
.

Winamp 5.32 has not been released yet. Can you confirm which version you have? (Right click->Nullsoft Winamp...->Winamp tab)
What output plugin are you using ? (Prefs->Output) Do you have 24bit playback enabled? (Prefs->Playback). If so, what soundcard do you have? |

Switch to DirectSound Output (out_ds) instead... assuming you didn't uncheck it under the Extra Audio Output/Effect Support section of the installer options.
out_ds is recommended under Win2k/xp/2003/vista, and is actually the default output plugin under those OS'es. out_wave is only really recommended for use under Win9x/me. Or if you insist on using out_wave, then try checkmarking 'alt setting method' in out_wave config. |
