Use multiple input plugins simultaneously
Dear all,
Is it possible to use a Winamp INPUT plugin (for audio decoding) and a DirectShow plugin (for video decoding) on the same input file? -> means.. simultaneously? My scenario.. I have a MPEG2 Program Stream file I want to play with Winamp. I have a special Winamp input plugin for decoding the audio part. And I want to use a generic/existing MPEG2 decoder plugin to decode the video. In this scenario it does not matter to me what plugin actually decodes the video (Direct Show plugin or Winamp plugin). Alternatively within this context.. is it possible to use two different Winamp INPUT plugins to process one (MPEG2) file containing audio + video (simultaneously)? I have the MPlayer_video_decoder(v0.41) plugin that is capable of decoding both (audio + video) .. and it does, when I try to decode my file! BUT: I would like to have the audio decoded by my special plugin and the video by the mplayer plugin! Is this possible? .. if yes, could you please tell me how? Bart |

Nah, you cannot use Winamp plugins as DirectShow filters.

Hi all,
maybe my intention was not clear from my first description.. Is it possible to decode a A/V file in Winamp using a DirectShow plugin for the video and a Winamp-plugin for the audio part? btw: I did not assume that a Winamp plugin could be embedded in DirectShow framework. But maybe the other way around..? Bart |
