Jump To File Dialogue Box
Hi,
Sorry if this topic already exists - I couldn't find anything. I've been using Winamp for a long time and one of the new features I loved was the jump to file dialogue box. However, I've recently installed the new version (v5.31) and am slightly disappointed with how the new jump to file dialogue box looks. What happened to the enqueue and manage mode buttons in the dialogue box that used to be there in previous versions? (Please refer to attached file) Is there a way to get it back? Thanks, Jeff |

Reinstall Winamp 5.31.
Make sure "Extended Jump to File Support" is checked under "User Interface Extensions" in the installer options. (I believe this is in both Lite and Full installers, but if you don't see it in Lite, download Full). | Brought to you by ^V ^C | The one... the original... no seriously! |

I just tried doing that.
I uninstalled Winamp, installed v5.32, made sure the "Extended Jump to File Support" was checked, and it still gives me the same dialogue box when i hit 'j' or 'f3' in the playlist. In prefrences under Jump to File, it says its Jump To File Extra v0.97.7h (Build 57) Anything else I can try? Thanks again, Jeff |

DEP shouldn't be an issue since i've had it working fine on a few fully DEP enabled systems.
the only things i can think off are that the extended mode has been disabled on preferences -> jump to file -> enqueue options' or you're using a HP laptop with some sort of finger scanner (since that's been reported as causing issues with the plugin but since i don't have such a machine there's no way i can properly test the issue) and disabling of the login software for that seems to rectify the issue -daz |

No worries, time wise my edit and your reply were very close to each other.

Okay.
DEP was set to only for essential windows programs and services. I tried putting it on the other mode, with winamp as the exception program. Both didn't work. I made sure that extended mode was enabled too. I do in fact have an HP Laptop with the finger print reader. Here's my System specs: HP NC8430 RB554UT#ABA Intel Core 2 Duo T7200, 1GB Ram ATI Radeon X1600 Whatever the integrated sound is. Win XP SP2 Winamp v.5.31 Full Shared Users Prefs Install Options: No agent, No video, no modern skin support, Hijackthis log and plugins attached. Thanks again guys, Jeff Quote:

Yay. I got it back now. Thanks for the help. Any chance of hp/winamp coming out with a fix?
Thanks, Jeff |

the easiest way would be for me to have a test machine with that feature but i'm sure that wouldn't happen, heh
i'm still not sure what is causing the code to fail to hook the dialog correctly. i'll have to try and look into this and will pm/email you a test build to see if i can sort something out if that's alright with you mr_quag -daz |
