Bandwidth help?

Hello all,
First post on here, hope you're all well?

I would like some advice on how many users @ 128k should you limit a SHOUTcast stream to if the connection is 3000kbps down & 500kbps up stream?

Many thanks.

4 max with very little overhead.

1. upstream is what is important.

2. users = upstream/(1.1*bitrate). The 1.1 accounts for network overhead. The upstream should be determined via a real speed test: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

edit: just caught the fact that you appear to be residing in the UK. You may not want to use the speed test I posted as that is in the states. However, I am sure google can show you something similar that is actually located in your country.
