Winamp crashing on startup

Whenever I start up Winamp, it will open up the player window, but when it tried to open up the playlist editor or media library, it crashes every single time. The error I have been getting is:

Quote:
AppName: winamp.exe AppVer: 5.3.2.1003 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 000106c3
Now, I'm unsure why I keep on getting this error. I have replaced the ntdll.dll file and uninstalled then cleanly reinstalled Winamp multiple times, but neither of those actions makes a change unless I do them both at once. I've done both and gotten Winamp to work fine again, but that only works for a few days. Is there something else I need to do to fix this problem?

Also, now it doesn't even get to open the player window before it crashes.

We need more information...
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....d=161361#specs
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....161361#plugins

Without that information, all we can suggest is that you do a clean install with no 3rd-party plugins.

I have to do a clean install constantly; this happens at least every other day.

- Does it persist after a clean install? Yes

- Extra 3rd-party plugins? Nothing besides what is automatically installed when you install Winamp, so I'm assuming no

Specs:

- Custom made PC, DFI NF4 Ultra-D motherboard

- AMD Athlon 64, 512 MB of G.Skill DDR RAM

- Onboard sound, Nvidia 6600 GT video card

- DirectX 9

- Winamp 5.32

- Winamp Full Version

- Separate user settings

There.

As well, it's happened again (third time in three days), and I've used the HijackThis program and made a log. I hope this will be of use to you.

And the List of Plugins? (see my 2nd link)

At a guess, there's some conflict going on with the Rio Music Manager service (RioMSC.exe) and one of Winamp's portable media player plugins (pmp_*.dll) - probably one of pmp_usb.dll or pmp_p4s.dll, depending on what Rio MP3 Player model/firmware you've got.

[Edit] I give in [/Edit]

Well, since this has kept on happening since I uninstalled the Rio Music Manager and removed the drivers, I'm not sure...

ok, before I recoreded this it didn't even start up winamp before it crashed..

I recordedn this on a brand new update, modern skin (the default one) and I used Camtasia Studio to do the recording..

this might help a bit, not sure why it crashes, I didn't do anything, just started by itself

I'll post a link to the movie soon (not uploaded yet)

oh and I just installed a fresh copy and it does the same, no plugins or anything

Send a message via ICQ to tubbles
My aunty is having this problem too (I am trying to find the solution).
Crashes on start up. And after a clean install, the anonymous statistics form will come up, and after that, dies in the arse.

Let me know if there are any suggestions you could offer. It'd be greatly appreciated!

I've tried this before, and I still get this crashing problem within a day or so.
