Search in "Jump to file"

I've installed new version of Winamp 5.32. And now (in old version everything worked) search in Jump to file dialog does not work. Previously when you were writing smth in this dialog box, the list of files were filtered by the text you the writing. And now cursor just goes to the first file, and thats all...

Winamp 5.32 is bundled with JTFE build 57, a new build (69) is available since some days

JTFE Development Log

with latest build I've no problems

PS: JTFE has 2 modes, Manage mode and Search mode; are you sure to be in Search mode?

bye

In the JTF box, click the button bar just below the list.

I've switched back to build 57 with default settings to test it...

in bottom part of JTFE window there is a button (marked with blue rectangle) to switch between modes, try to click it

otherwise please follow the JohnnyMac recommendations

if the plugin is installed and is showing the winamp preferences then something is preventing it hooking the dialog. you're not by chance using a HP laptop with thumb reader or have a nvidia graphics card with the nView software present and enabled to display itself in the OSes system menus?

Thanks for help, I've just reinstaled Winamp 5.32 without extended Jump to file. Everything works now.

oh well, doesn't help in seeing what's blocking my hooking into the jtf dialog and is thus why the search wasn't working since it wasn't able to get the text being entered to then pass it to the search function. does give me an idea to at least revert to the old buggy code within winamp for the searching if the hooking fails i guess.. which will at least allow the search to work if things do fail

as the developer of the plugin i'm interested to know if there's something i can do to resolve the issue for other users in the future (assuming that it is an issue with my code)

just the information that was needed. the issue is HP's software for the thumbreader. according to another user from this weekend, the latest version of HP's software for the thumbreader resolves the issue (is related to the 'Single Sign on' feature) and is a bug in HP's code. posting system specs at the start of the thread would have made working that out a lot easier and quicker.
