mp3 title formatting
this in not actually a bug, but new disadvantage (because in older versions it worked just fine). i'm talking about in_mp3.dll where was taken the option of formatting id3 tags. nowdays i use the advanced title formatting. but it's not the same. my old settings were "artist - song .:. (album)" and when the id3 tag (v1 or 1v2) was not present, it was in format "filename.mp3 .:. (path to file)" ... in settings it was like %7 .:. %8 when id3tags were not preesnt and %1 - %2 .:. (%) when was at leat one present. but now, when there is not the option, the file without id3 tag, is displayed like a filename without a path and now i have to guess where is the file located... :P it would be perfect to add perhaps an option to the advanced title formatting when the file does not have an id3 tag...

as said by DJ Egg the solution is in the help...
however the standard ATF string (in 5.32) is [%artist% - ]$if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%)) to show also the path when id3 tags are missing try with [%artist% - ]$if2(%title%,%filename%) if want also the album name when present try this: [%artist% - ]$if2(%title%,%filename%)[ .:. '('%album%')'] the ATF is a much powerful tool than old %1,%2,... just read the provided help and you'll be able to build very complex and information-rich titles bye

Also note that the in-client ATF Help is a bit outdated.
You can find a more extensive list of all ATF functions & strings here: http://www.myplugins.info/winamp-wik...tle_formatting |
