96 kbps? Live?
Okay I remember reading some help forum some where once that do to live shows over Shoutcast "with a mic/talking bits" that you had to change the Encoder settings itleast to 96KBPS wich we did for the longest time and it serverly limited our listener slots for our live shows.
Anywho today were do some test runs and we left on 56kbps mono and went on mic and people seem to pick it up fine? Should we just go with the flow if it seems to be working okay at 56 kpbs? Cus that would really up our listener rate/slots...unless of crouse there is a good reason why it should be itleast at 96kbps. Then again the site i read that one time coulda been just crap lol Anyways feedback on this would rock! Thanks |

There is no bitrate requirement to use a microphone.
