I'm trying to find out if there is a way to easily make a playlist of all the MP3's from a particular CD, sorted by CD track number. For example, in RealJukebox, you can see all your MP3's, grouped by artist, album title, etc.. If you click on an album title, it shows all the MP3's from that album in their original order (sorted by track #), and you can play them all in that order just by clicking on the first one. Is there a plugin or something for Winamp that gives this kind of feature?
Thanks, Warren |

I think that will sort them alphabetically by title, not by CD track #. Any other suggestions?

Save the playlist in Real and open it in Winamp

Use the track number in the file name when you encode your files. Then, use the sort by file name option.

there's a better way to do it than that, but it depends what mp3 plugin you are using.
if you are using the defualt one, then you can choose how you want the title of the mp3 displayed. change it so that it lists the track number, then whatever else you want. make sure you have the track number in the id3 tag. then resort the list and it should list em in the right order. the only proplem is that itl list all numbers starting with one togeter eg: 1 10 2 3 4 5 6 etc, so youll have to make sure numbers 1 to 9 are listed as 01, 02 etc. |
