hello, i just got my server up and running and i am wondering if there is a way to listen without going throught shoutcast's search engine? i thought i could just enter in my address (???.???.??.???:8000, i don't remember the address) i tried it, and it didn't work. other than that, it works! go to shoutcast and search for mrbmw99 it will come up as "mrbmw99-police" please listen and reply how good the quality is! thanks! Add a listen.pls extension to your address....Sooooo, it should look like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx/listen.pls .....That should work, if not, let me know.......

ok, i tried that and it works, but when i log off the net, my ip changes, do you know how to make it stay? i'm gonna call aol in a while to see if they can help me make the ip stay. thanks!!

AOL uses a dymanic IP structure, meaning whenever you log into the 'net you'll have a new IP address. If you want an address that it is static, I recommend checking out services like DHS (www.dhs.org) or CJB (www.cjb.net). They redirect a static subdomain name like yournamehere.cjb.net to your current IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
