I can get visualization (spectrum analyzer and others)with wav and midi formats etc. but not when I'm playing a cd there isn't any. I uninstalled winamp and reinstalled it but still no change.
What is the problem here? Thx to all who can help. |

no you dont. you can still get cd vis using the defualt cd plugin.
ctrl-P, goto plugins and goto the input plugins, and double click on 'nullsoft cd plugin' or whatever its called, and make sure that the little check box is checked....youll know the one, itll tell you to check it if you want vis. |

Ok but the Cd-Reader plug-in generally solves many problems due to CD playback. I think it's better to use it.

Thx to Magnezium, downloading the CD reader from the link worked. CD play was choppy at first but I increased my buffer size now all is well.
