Advance title display question

Could some please tell me how to make winamp display a simple output of 'Artist - Song Name', without album name display or anything (but with capital first letters for the Artist and Song Name)

I tried doing %artist% - %name% in the Advanced display format box but it just outputs 'invalid syntax'. (read the help thing as well, but got a bit lost )

Sorry for the noob question

P.S. I searched the forum but all i can come up with is the string:

[%artist% - ][$if(%album%,[$if(%tracknumber%,$cut(%album%,6) '('%tracknumber%')' - ,$cut(%album%,5) - )],)]$if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%))

written by one of the members (sorry forgot who). But it outputs the album name, as well as the number of the track, which is a bit too much for me.
