setting read / write privileges on folder

Hi everyone.

New to NSIS and have read all the documentation and FAQ's with no solution to my problem. Once the folder has been created i need to set the access privileges to read only. I could only find out how to set this for individual files only and not the directory containing them. Without having to set the access for every file in the directory is there an easier way to do this. I am installing to XP and Server.

note that a directory is a file with a specific flag, search MSDN for the flag to use.
