MORE silence between tracks?

hey, sort of a strange request, but how can i add more silence between tracks in winamp? the reason i need this is because my Minidisc doesnt detect the silence because there isnt enough of it. ive moved the buffers to the extremes but cant seem to get more than 1/2 second silence. any ideas? thanks!

other then changing the buffer, try preferences> plugins> output > directsound> Other tab > UNchecking remove silence at the end of songs

yeh, i tried that in combination with the buffer and it STILL didnt give enough silence, youd think there would be an option on the MD for silence but there isnt.
