external drive synchronization?!

Hi everyone,

just got a 250GB Elements external drive-
Winamp asked me if I wanted to synchronize it with WInamp 5.33, well i said yes, which seemed to be logical.(Doh) the external drive now blocks Winamp from playing any file when I double-click on them. Poor Winamp opens and disappears after my ext drive goes "BRRR". what's going on? Is it anything to do with synchronization? WInamp works fine when the drive's turned off, but all my music's on it. grr.
I tried disinstalling Winamp and going back to previous versions, nope.
also, I can't use WMPlayer 10 since it's now reluctant to play MP3 files for some reason- ?? thanx a lot, I feel lost without my good ol' Winamp player


yes i'm replying to myself. nevermind- after having deleted 3 plugins in the portable devices section, it's all back to normal; simple really...cheers anyway
