Winamp doesn't actually close...
I just re-installed Winamp and when I close the program, it appears to be closed in that it disappears from the screen and everything. But when I press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the task manager, under "Processes" it says winamp.exe is still running. Then if I open Winamp again, I get two winamp.exe's under the "Processes" list. Eventually, if I open and close it enough times, the programs keep piling up and my computer starts running slow. So every time I close winamp I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del and end the process manually. Anybody know how to fix this one?

I just wanted to say, that I've got the same problem. I'm running Winamp Basic Full on Windows XP Prof. Service Pack 1.
Tomorrow I'll try it with SP 2 and tell you whether it works. ![]() Deepy |

Sticky / FAQ: Information Required...
HijackThis log & List Of Plugins required. If it's not a 3rd-party plugin to blame, then try disabling some of the 1st-party plugins, eg. Predixis (ml_xpdxs.dll), Portable Media Player support plugins, in the following order : pmp_p4s.dll | pmp_activesync.dll | et al (pmp_*.dll), etc. Close Winamp, kill all winamp.exe processes in Task Mgr, move the above-referenced DLL files out of the Winamp\Plugins folder. Let us know which plugin caused the problem (my guess is pmp_p4s). |
