You mean like it is in my attached screenshot?
If yes, then that is normal (expected behaviour).

It seems, that .avi files are registered with another player or that there is a problem with the Windows icon cache.

Prefs -> File types make sure, that AVI is selected. Also make sure that "Restore file associations on Winamp start-up" is checked.

After you've checked this, download and start TweakUI.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Under "Repair" -> "Rebuild icons" -> "Repair Now" you can clear the icon cache, so the right icon should be shown.

Which icon is selected in Winamp > Prefs > File Types?

The one in my screenshot? Or is the blue version not there?

Or, if you've manually setup file/icon associations via Windows Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types (as opposed to doing it automatically, via Winamp Prefs) then do you see the blue version of the icon via eg. MP3 > Advanced > Change Icon? (see screenshot in post below).

What is your current screen resolution set to? (Display Control Panel > Settings tab)
Is it set to 32bit?
If set to 16bit, then that might explain the problem.

AVI? I thought we were talking about MP3, not AVI.
Now I'm even more confused, lol.

Nah, my bad, I thought he meant avi, because it has another icon on his screenshot.

For the other icons, it's normal:

Otherwise I have no clue, what you could mean. lol

Yup, the 16bit icon is white, the 32bit icon is blue. Simple as that :-)
