The aspects of the main window that are meant to be animated don't seem to be functioning at all.... This includes the tiny vis in the main window, the drag bar showing the position of the song, the time elapsed/remaining, and the Name of the song (doesnt scroll).
I have tried reinstalling winamp, reformatting, changeing operating systems, etc.... nothing seems to work... I'm using 2.72, tried with the default skin and others (btw: other vis plugins work as normal), win98SE at the moment (also tried on win2k), I have a diamond tnt2 ultra, and am using the 6.50 (det 3) reference drivers (latest). Any hints would be appreciated.... |

Same problem
Unfortunately, I seem to have the same problem. The song title does not scroll regardless of the Autoscroll setting. The spectrum analyzer display is blank, regardless of its settings. Basically, it's as if all real-time updating is disabled in the main window. This happens on the Base or any other skin. I recently upgraded from WinAmp 2.62 to 2.72 with no change.
I cannot recall whether these problems have always been present since installing WinAmp on this particular computer. It's a PIII running Win2K, with a GeForce 256. I'm also running WindowBlinds, and some other ObjectDesktop components. |

Problem solved
Wonderful what a search through the forum archives can turn up. If you have a Creative SB Live, then that's probably what's fucking up your main window display. Quit WinAmp, open its plugin directory (e.g. \Program Files\WinAmp\Plugins), and delete gen_nomad.dll. That fixed it for me!
