can't do it how to CD audio to MP3
I give up;can't do it.
How do I use winamp 5.33 pro version, registered, to rip from an audio CD to MP3 files. I have followed the help suggestions, and looked at the best of winamp tech msgs. No go. I put the CD in the computer; fire up winamp; set output folder and encoder options (output c:\xxx and encoder MP3 encoder v1.32); I see the list of CD files in Media library, select in the left pane Rip&Burn/CD-RW E:; then click "Rip" at bottom of pane; then select rip all or rip selected. Winamp goes the motions, indicates that it is ripping, but no files show up on my hard drive. I do a full search with Win Explorer, looking for ALL mp3 files. Not there. I repeat the entire process, but select OGG as output encoder. Nothing shows up. |

It sounds like you're doing everything correctly,
except maybe for the "set encoder options (output c:\xxx)" bit. Either attach a screenshot or copy+paste what you've got as the "Destination Folder" & "Naming Convention" in the "Output File Settings" tab of the "CD Ripping" options. |

Hello DJ,
destination folder C:\ttest naming convention \<Artist> - \## - <Trackartist> - <Title> I created another output folder and tried it again... Winamp did create the output folder for <Artist> under c:\ttest, but no mp3 file was created. Also using DirectSound version 2.46 bobobo |
