God damnit.

All I want in the world is a fast pipe running into my house and not being ass fucked by the people who give it to me.

All I want is an internet line; no fucking mind numbing cable TV; no broke ass phone line that allows me to fucking call about two houses away before it is considered long distance.

Sure, Comcast and SBC will provide me with this single service, after the ass fuck me every month when my bill comes.

Speakeasy can offer me a T3 line. Yeah right. I won't pay $70 for it, and you think I am gunna pay several hundred for internets.

Qwest can just go suck it with their prices.

I don't want useless fucking services shoved up my ass just because I want internet!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does QUALITY internet exist for $40 a month?

Maybe not where you are, but I get Verizon 15m/2m FIOS for $40. Before that, it was $30 for 1.5/768 DSL. Verizons customer service sucks, but since I haven't had much trouble, it hasn't mattered much.

Shit anything around 3-6m/.5-1m I would be happy with...

But everyone wants about $60 for a service like that, which I think is a load of crap.

Yeah, my brother has ATT cable. It's 6m/384k for $60. 384k?. Geez.... live a little.

But, it's all he can get where he is and it beats a modem I guess.

Most of the people I know that have Verizon DSL pay $40 for 1.5-3/768k, so if you have Verizon, give em a call. It was the best thing I could find at the time.

This is one of the test markets for FIOS, so you're not liable to have that choice yet.

I just looked into Verizon. They claim that they do not know where I live online, so I am going to give them a call tomorrow. I have a strong feeling that they do service SE Michigan as I see their vans everywhere.

You're right. They beat everyone hands down. I've got a 3M/512k line from ATT with the attached phone line that I never use 'cept for the countless telemarketers that call.

If I could get 3M/768k from veriozn for $30-40/mo, I would be happier than ... well a pig in mud.

It always worked and the speed is what they said it was. My brother (ATT cable) has problems during peak use times. Late at night, in the downlink direction, it's a lot faster than the DSL, but during peak hours, it can really crawl and not even be as fast as the DSL.

We pay about $30 every month for our cable from Time Warner and we got the souped up cable net.

It depends what part of SE Michigan you live in, see I can't get Comcast cuz I don't live in the right area in my town SUCKS.

It does. I have to agree.

Hey. I thought that there was some sort of case in the Supreme Courts saying that the traditional media providers (cable/phone) had to unbundle their services (which they have done). However, I also thought that they had to be 'reasonable' about the pricing.

For me to drop phone from ATT, my internet becomes more expensive than the internet + phone I have now. Reasonable? Not in my opinion.

I don't have any personal experience with the VOIP phone service from ATT, but I've heard it's not ready for prime time.

People I have talked to can't tell the difference. They actually say I sound better when I call over skype versus my cell phone.
