Winamp Media Player 11
Hey Winamp friend, this is for you.
I made this skin about a year ago but I got internet connection probl€ms then, so I never released it. Problems solved, so here it is. It has some flaws, but I keep using it since I made it and am fine with it. (I guess you should click one of the language buttons after installing to initialize properly) The skin is based on pjn123's Nullsoft Media Player 10 and uses his cover & eq and some other stuff (thanks again) Please tell me if you like it, and if not, what keeps you from using it. Have fun (Download is here: http://freenet-homepage.de/www.groovereiter.de/) Why is the above link hidden? Last edited by groovereiter; 13th May 2007 at 10:53. |

hehe - just came in my mind! Anyone seen Eurovision Contest last night? Perhaps of the dominance of the east-european countries... btw, i'm still in favour of last years winner LORDI - great video they played as opener this time!
BTW, you'll have to extract the skin, since the files are in a subfolder |

Have you tested/found the functions? There are quite a lot of them... (wait with the mouse on the stop button for a few secs, hold ctrl or alt and move the volume slider for a 2-Band eq, click the arrows below the upper buttons, click the tiny animation in the lower right corner...) |

I don't think so. Make sure you have the modern skin plugin installed.

awesomeness, yet needs improvements?
This is by far, the BEST Winamp modern skin I have EVER come across. Combining both the style, flair and single GUI feel of WMP11, with Winamp core functionality and flexibility (especially so when combined with some good plugins). Essentially the best of both worlds. However, it lacks certain core functionality (which I'm guessing is just due to "incompleteness", so no hard feelings are being expressed.
Now here are my issues / questions / suggestions 1) How do I access those 3 or 4 buttons usually found at the bottom of the playlist window? I.E. I need to control playlist management functions. Most of the other functions have keyboard shortcuts assigned to them (e.g. for clearing the playlist), so I've been getting by on those, however the specific feature I'm missing badly is to be able to sort my playlist? 2) Integrate additional (external) plugin windows. The predecessor to this skin, WinampMP10 (Winamp/Nullsoft Media Player 10), was able to "switch" the left-hand-side "window" with any other window. (e.g.) most specifically, I would like my plugins: "AlbumList 2" and "WinLyrics" to display here when I want them to. (currently they open up in a seperate unskinned window). 3) Additional functionality found in WinampMP10 should be carried over and implemented into WinampMP11. (e.g. in the now playing section, have a "shortcut" button to jump to the folder location on the actual computer where the music files are stored, improving the equaliser (where has the "presets" button gone?), shortcuts for "Crossfading and Auto Volume Levelling", "DJ Effects", "Clock Timer" (what is Pizza timer? nothings there anyway), ... There are probably other features I missed that haven't (yet) been implemented. 4) Make the scrollbars (slightly) more apparent! (e.g. in media library, and playlist). Just ever so slightly Regards, TeBBuTT |

Thanks For the great skin
It would be great if someone of you could please edit this skin that it shows as cover any picture from song directory. My covers are all saved as [album].jpg in the album folders, because I need this for my portable audio player. It should show covers how for example AlbumList does. I hope that's not too much work. Thanks for your help Jacob |

Joke2: RE: Album Art
Download the plugin which I'm using for this purpose: (one of my favourites, that I just can't live without) It's called "Cover TAG" or "Cover & TAG" Get at the following link below: http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/138565 It uses id3 tag info to locate the album cover image for the currently playing song, and then displays it in the Winamp video window. If the id3 tag info isn't complete, then Cover TAG will search by other means (file name with jpg extension, folder.jpg, etc.) Therefore it has the capability to pick up your custom filepath, namely [album].jpg I hope this alternative satisfies you ![]() Regards, TeBB |

My problem with cover&tag is that everything around the cover in the video window seems to be transparent and so i see the desktop or firefox around the cover which looks not very nice.
are there any tools to edit this modern skin? |

I could paste a screenshot to ensure we're talking about the same thing? or actually perhaps you should to clarify what you meant? ![]() BTW this is assuming you have turned OFF all opacity settings? (to make 100% opaque) |

I've never had that happen to me... on ANY skin. See my attached screenshot: note that my firefox, and notepad in the background aren't showing through. I tried this with "maximizing" the skin too... Unfortunately couldn't reproduce your weird bug. And do you say that this ONLY happens when using this skin? (Winamp Media Player 11) ? If so, the only difference is plugins? Also what version of "Cover & TAG" do you have? I have v3.3.0 - 02/16/2006. I don't know what other plugin you might have that would conflict or cause this though (offhand). Perhaps try disable ALL non default plugins, EXCEPT cover & Tag. See if it still does it. |

Hopefully if this works, then you can by process of elimination determine which plugin is causing it, by putting one plugin back at a time |

The XUI object used for the cover was still in early development. If you really like this skin you can replace the current build(think 002) with build008 found on the forum of skinconsortium...
That will fix your problem.. ClassicPro© v2.01 : This plugin allows you to use cPro skins in Winamp. ClassicPro skins are all SUI skins and loads very quickly. ClassicPro skins is even easier to skin than Winamp Classic skins. A new layout have been added since version 2. |

If anyone would be willing to finish this skin it would be nice since there's not many SUI skins out there for Winamp.
