Winamp changes screen resolution

I'm using the latest version of winamp with the modern skin.
Every time I open winamp, my screen resolution is lowered from 1024*768 to 640*480.
How do I stop this from happening?

I don't. It just happens upon opening the program.

Right click on the Icon, select Properties. Go to the compatibility tab and uncheck everything.

It was the compatibility. I hadn't thought to check it before. Its strange how it ran in a compatibility mode by default.
