Winamp messed up my recording software

Help me! I'm a musician recording on Sonar. It records multi tracks as waves. After installing Winamp, Sonar won't play the wave files. I uninstalled Winamp, the files now say wave, and I still can't play my projects.

By play, I hope you mean when you open the file from Windows Explorer. Winamp will take the association of .wav files by default and it doesn't make any relevant changes outside of the installation directory. If you don't want Winamp to be associated with wave files deselect it from Preferences -> File Types.

If Winamp actually prevents the program from playing files that you open from within it, File -> Open or what ever it uses then there is either a serious problem with Winamp or that Sonar software.
