Hello. I've been a WINAMP vet for nearly two years now, and yet one thing I'm not clear on. Is there a method of playing AVI or MPG or something of the sort in the AVS visualization screen? Instead of all those colorful designs, would it be possibly to play a repeating stream of your own material or the like? If so, please let me know.

ALSO, I've a problem with the sound. When a sound goes off on my computer, the music breaks. Is there a way to change this? Respond at time02k@aol.com

Thank you

Not good news

As for the first problem, there is no way to watch movies in winamp's AVS window. There is, however, a plugin called VidAmp that you can get to play movies on winamp.

As for the scond problem, other people have reported it in the forums but I'm not sure what old post you can find the answer on.

Just hold tight and somebody will figure it out for you.

oh yes you can....

actually, you CAN watch AVI movies in the AVS window, by using Lone's AVS APE. Or, you can use your AVI as a way to create an AVS Preset. just download the avs.ape from the link I've furnished, and place it in your AVS folder. from the AVS Editor, you can select the AVI APE, and then your own AVI file, which must also be in your AVS folder. several AVS artists have already made Presets using this APE and their AVI files.

About the sound, select DirectSound instead of Waveout.
