Winamp does not play videos!

When I double click on almost any video file winamp does not open them, it works great on mp3 files but when I want to open a video file which I have done a million times before it wont open the file!

I have used winamp for many years and have reinstalled my current version the newest one several times and still no luck, what is wrong and how do I fix it?

Winamp opens just fine but it is the video screen that does not open so I get no video and no sound just the winamp things opens not the video screen

Did you actually install video support with Winamp? Reinstall again, make sure video support is selected in the installer.

Preferences > Plugins > Input
Verify "Nullsoft DirectShow Decoder v1.03" is there.

An update!

The videos wont open in a specific folder but if I move the same exact file to another folder they open just fine, how weird isn’t that!

Any clues what makes that folder specific? e.g. any odd characters in the path?

What kind of videos are we talking about here? wmv/avi/mpg?

If you're bored go here or, if the boredom is more serious, here.
