using soundcard as source problems

all the tutorials i have seen on using soundcard as your input for shoutcast show a differant screen when you open the mixer than what i get. instead of stereo video etc i get line in, mic, rear mic. when i choose soundcard, nothing plays and the tutorials are no help because they dont match what i see

there might be an option to nake windows manage your sound settings?

is it showing third party software for your soundcard?

what card is it?

post some images if you can and that may help someone identify the problem as we cant see what you have..

its a simtec, it came with my dell. and embarrasingly enough i dont know how to take a screenshot

press print screen on the keyboard and paste it into paint

never heard of simtec?
