Winamp won't start
So, I upgraded to Vista roughly two weeks ago, and have been getting all my programs and things all configured to it. So, I start Winamp today. Nothing. So, I try it again. It opens this time, but freezes as soon as I click on it, and I can't recover it at all.
I've tried re-installing about 5 times now, and it still freezes no matter what. Can anyone tell me how I can fix this? Any help is appreciated. |

Sorry, should have mentioned that I have no 3rd party plug-ins, and that it worked absolutely fine before on Windows XP SP2. So, it can't my computer's specs...I'm at a loss here.

Using the latest version of Winamp? (i.e. 5.35) You could try disabling the following Winamp components to see if it is one of those causing the issue: To disable the Sonic engine (Ripping/Burning support, known to sometimes conflict with certain hardware/software), move primosdk.DLL out of the Winamp installation folder, by default: C:\Program Files\Winamp Plugins that you could try disabling are ml_pmp.dll (Portable Media Player support), gen_ff.dll (Modern Skin support) and in_wm.dll (WMA/WMV support), all of which are stored in C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins. To disable, move the .dll file out of the plugins folder. |

Thanks for your help! I just had to remove the first plug-in you mentioned. Everything seems to be working just fine now.
