Internet activity during playback,
Yes hi, I'm wondering why is it I have no processes running other then winamp then everytime I play a song my connection is sending packets back and forth to a server.
I have unchecked the "check for updates" and the "allow anonymous reporting" features... What the heck is your program doing in the background ? |

The media library also has features that access the net during playback, such as Preferences > Media Library > Local Media > Display "Show Info" in media and album views. This feature has to be manually clicked to update with artist info iirc.

Nope Ive disabled all plugins, other than the essentials to playback music. Im running no skins, or 3rd party plugins.
Have checked my computer thoroughly for viruses, spyware, malware, keyloggers... I ran the wire shark prog as mentioned above, and traced the ip address to one registered to my isp as I believe... Why would it ping my server everytime I play a song... ? |

What "server"? Going to need more details of what is making the connectivity. And with any ISP there is always going to be traffic, doesn't mean it is coming from Winamp.
