Simple Question

I searched for about 15 minutes and found nothing.

I jumped from WMP over to Winamp a few months ago and I like Winamp considerably more, but I have one gripe that's really starting to annoy me.

It seems the program cuts off the first and last second of every song I play. Basically, there's a skip in between songs on a playlist/bookmark and it really ruins albums that rely on continuity like Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. Any way to fix this?

Thanks.

1. Winamp > Ctrl+P (for Preferences)
2. Plug-ins > Input
3. double click 'DirectSound output'
4. Other tab > uncheck 'Remove silence'
5. close out of prefs

Or, disable cross-fade.

Go to: Winamp > Prefs > Plugins > Output > DirectSound Output > config:

In the 'Other' tab, is "Remove silence..." checkmarked,
and if so, what is your cutoff value set to?

Is it higher than -35dB (ie. -25 to -35dB)?
If yes, then try decreasing it to -40dB or less.

Other than that, are any of fade on start or end options enabled in the 'Fading' tab?

What is your "buffer ahead on track change" value set to in the 'Buffering' tab?

What is your Winamp version, and are you using any extra 3rd-party plugins?

[Edit]

Bleh, too slow. Hi JM :-)
