This will probably turn out to have the easiest answer ever

Basically, know when you hover your mouse over the play button on winamp, if you have tooltips on, it says play

now, with the old version of winamp i had, still winamp 5, just a few back, if i left the mouse over the song titles, it showed me the artist, full song title and album name in a little pop up.. similar to that of a tooltip

but i updated winamp last week and it's stopped doing it, and i used the feature alot.. any idea how i can bring it back?

Do you mean in the playlist? Not a native function of Winamp. It sounds like you had shaneh's Tips in playlist plug-in.

in the playlist yea, i didn't have any plug in, just did it after i updated it once.

It was really useful though.

That never was a native feature of Winamp, you must have had a third-party plugin installed.

well they should make it a native feature! :P

If you have loads of 1 artist it's easy to start at track 1 of an album.. or if they have a really long name

Click on the link in the first reply to download the Tips in playlist plug-in. Some of shaneh's other plug-ins include the the TIP plug-in, you may have installed TIP without realizing it.
