WinAmp Audio Problem

On some audio tracks the vocals, (and light instrumentals), appear to be of much lower volume than the heavier instrumental sounds.

It is very noticeable when the vocals are playing along with periodic instrumental pieces. Or when there are heavy instrumental pieces mixed into light instrumental and vocals.

The effect is to make the sound wobble up and down.

Any one know what is going on?

Thanks,

bad speakers?
dsp plugins?
sound card effects?
cables?
poor quality encoding?
bad equiliser settings?
bad soundcard?
interference?
ambiance?

their are so many variables to your problem.
