Title Formating problem for empty ID3 tags
Grrr... I am having a problem with the title formating. I have "Advanced Title Formating" enabled in the 'playlist' options to show the format of what I want with my music files and that works great. But some of my mp3's don't have ID3 tags and so I would like the filename the title to show instead. But I can't get winamp to do this. Instead they will just show up as blank. How do I make Winamp use the file name when there is no ID3 tag info? Here are the things I tried so far:
Metadata Reading Settings--> Use the following media detection method when ANY info is Missing--> "No guessing. Title is Filename" I also tried clearing the database info and rescanning my files to try and make the change take place but to no success. What can I do? |

$if(%title%,%title%,$filepart(%filename%))
This will show the track title if it is valid otherwise it will show the file name. You can replace the second %title% with any other string you want if you want to show more than just the title. See the link below for detailed description of ATF. http://www.myplugins.info/winamp-wik...tle_formatting Winamp ATF Reference — My cPro timer widget — My port of AVS Do NOT email me with general tech support questions. |

Cool, thanks. I didn't realize there was an IF command I could use. ATF is very powerful!
