Are there programs that if I have on my computer aren't compatible with Winamp?

Could having iTunes or anything like that, any options or preferences in these programs that could make winamp not work?

Yes. There's a possibility that if you have an iPod connected that there could be a conflict with both Winamp and iTunes trying to manage it at the same time.
