Setting broadcast delay to a few seconds

Is there an adjustment to set the time delay to be shortened by a few seconds. Even on another computer on the same router I get up to 1.5 min delays.

No. SHOUTcast is not real-time, nor designed to be. There is buffering in both the client and the server for Quality of Service.

Hi Sawg,

For this project I need a nearly real time delay of no less than 5 seconds. This is for a talk show not music.

Thanks,

Not likely. The shortest I get is about 10 seconds with the Orban Opticodec AAC+ encoder.

Your mileage may vary!

Can try Icecast. But if you want real time, look for voice conferencing software such as skype.
