how to show offline message when no music playing

hi all,

just wondering how to show an offline message on my website when there is no music playing,

at the momment im using a nowplaying script and the file works without any problems but when i stop the shoutcast broadcast the last tracks title won't disappear.

id appreciate any help.

I have hacked about the infamous SCMXL to do just that. The one problem I found with scxml was that if it could not contact the dnas or the stream was down it would show one of two "could not contact server" messages and just stop.

I reworked it to chuck out an OFF Air message then keep polling.

PM me if you want the php source for the modification, after all, I didn't write it, I just tweaked it a bit lol, only fair to share I reckon.
