Possible to know what s/w the source is using from Shoutcast logs?
Hi,
Is it possible to work out from the shoutcast logs what software a source is using? For example I see entries like this: <10/18/07@17:02:35> [cast-control dummy line] [source] connected icy-br:96 Is there anywhere I can see if they are using WinAMP DSP / ANOther DSP / Sam / etc. ? Thanks geetee |

you should see things like:
<10/18/07@18:57:10> [dest: 192.168.1.106] starting stream (UID: 1890)[L: 1]{A: WinampMPEG/5.50}(P: 0) this is my internal connection to an internal server. Anyway, the entry tells I am user 1890 to hit the stream since the server has been running, and I am currently listener 1, the software I am using is Winamp 5.50, and Winamp is designated as player 0 because it was the first player used in listening to the stream since the stream has been running. |

Hmmm, Thanks,
I have seen the entries for the software in use by the listeners. But what about the source? How can I tell what they are using to stream? |

oh dear, I just read what you actually wanted.
Sorry about that! No, I do not think that DNAS wil log what your DJ's/source is actually using. |

OK thanks. I couldn't see it, thought it may be hidden away somewhere. Guess I'm looking for something that isn't there.
Leaves me with a conundrum, but nvm, I'll find another way to my ends lol. Thanks again. geetee |
