I am hoping someone can help me with this, it is really annoying. I am running WindowsME on my machine and I have a NEWQ Equlizer, whenever WinAmp changes songs, no matter wthr. I use my keyboard song advance button, or if its automatic, or if I push the button in Winamp, it blasts the Wave volume (the ouptut mode for Winamp on my system) all the way up which then causes distosion in my audio system. Can someone please tell me a way to keep WinAmp from blasting the audio??? Or is this a bug?

I'm having the same problem!!
Yep, I also have *&^%$£(@ WinME installed as standard on my new PC, and I have exactly the same problem. If I don't find a solution I'm going to to have to switch to another player, which is a pity.
If you (or another forum member) can come up with a solution, I'd be grateful if you'd let me know. I suspect it's a WinME problem, or a problem wih SOUndmax soundcard on my Compaq Presario, rather than a Winamp glitch, but you never know. Evan evan_aupiais at hotmail dot com |

WinME Volume Issues
This is a WinME issue, and am working on a Winamp Plugin that fixes it, however I am not sure I can get it to work right, as I am not the greatest programmer to live. If someone with some good, solid programming expierence could help me out, that would be much appreciated.

Win ME Volume Issues
I got it! Whatever you set the Winamp volume to, it automatically sets the WinME wave volume to everytime it advances songs! All you have to do is turn down the Winamp volume!
