cas with the old winamp3 i use to click on a song once, then press the button "q" and winamp adds the song on the enqueue list and play the song according to the ranks it was given.
but then with winamp 5 the "q" button doesn't work anymore... and the old enqueue function was replace by the key "a" for the function "play at time" which is the same as the old "q" button. but since winamp 5.5 they removed the "a" button and the "q" button remains not b able to work... when i say it doesn't work... i mean it just play the nxt song if shuffle is off and if shuffle is on then it plays another random song. |

Ah, you upgraded from Winamp3...
In Winamp 5, similar functionality is provided by the JTFE (Jump to File Extra) plugin, shipped with Winamp. You can view the internal queue by pressing J or F3 and clicking the big button. Enqueueing files can still be done by using the Q key. You can check if JTFE is installed by going to Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Plug-ins > General Purpose. If it is installed, Jump to File Extra should be listed there. If it isn't listed, run the installer again and make sure 'Extended Jump to File support' is checkmarked in the installer options. On a sidenote, since you 'sidegraded' from Winamp3 to Winamp 5, this guide may be of use to you: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....64#post1504064 |

Ok.
Sorry, you totally lost me. You mention 'Play at time' with key 'a', what does that have to do with it? JTFE has been included with Winamp 5 for ages now (almost from the beginning), and as far as I remember, the 'q' key has always functioned to enqueue the selected file. And it still does for me. Anyway, make sure that this option is checkmarked: Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Jump To File > Enqueue Options tab > 'Use extended 'Jump to file' dialog' If the Q key still doesn't do anything (it doesn't do anything, right?), then what happens if you right-click > Jump to File > Enqueue file? [edit] Ah, it appears 'Play at time' was a feature in some of the JTFE dev builds. Still don't really see what that has to do with the issue at hand though... I am having the same problem. After getting the latest upgrade (to v5.551) the queue doesn't work any more. When I press Q or use the JTFE dialog songs get added to the queue and I can view the queue in the dialog, the Media Library or the new Queue Manager but these files never get played. When a song finishes or I press next the usual (in my case a random) song is played, ignoring the queue entirely. I have tried changing settings to try and make it work but no luck.
Details: Winamp v5.551 Jump to File Extra v1.0.4 (Build 767) Classic Skin (Steel_This_Amp_v5) Thanks in advance. |

this is an old thread so would have been better to make a new one (though not sure how i missed this with the few other posts made about the queue not advancing with the 1.0.x series of the plugin).
you're best off upgrading to the 1.0.5 build from here as you'll probably have the issue come back again if you're using the 1.0.4 build. -daz |
