No, we're not.
It's been replaced by our own (Gracenote powered) Playlist Generator.

Right click songs in playlist or ml, and select "Play tracks similar to..."

Config / scan etc available via:

Winamp > Prefs > Plugins > Media Library > Playlist Generator > config

Your Gracenote Playlist Generator is a bit buggy. It crashes Winamp every time I try to close it during the scan and open again.

work in progress, as always. It has a lot of potential, and it would be silly for Nullsoft to not exploit that.

If you still want the MusicIP Mix plugin, you can download it from the company website at musicip dot com. You will need to use "Send To -> MusicIP Mix" instead of the old button, though.

The MusicIP plug-in can still be used with the latest 5.5x release of Winamp. But it has to be installed again after an update of Winamp, because the Winamp installer will delete the plug-in silently without asking or telling anyone (at least not the user).

And unfortunately, there are new problems: The "MusicIP mix" option vanished from "Send to:" in the right-click menu of playlist items! As with Winamp 5.54 it is only accessible for items in the media library.

Let's hope this bug will get fixed with 5.55. Right now, here seems to be a workaround: http://forums.musicip.com/index.php?showtopic=3236

Anyone has an idea where to get the old ml_local.dll version?

they need to update their plugin to have it correctly setup to work with playlist send to items - is simple enough as that adn has been shown over the general existance for that dire plugin, they just don't both to do things right even when suggestions are made from the dev team. if you insist on using it (seeing as both options for musicip and ml_plg are lame) then you need to download an older version of winamp and use 7zip to extract out the older dll files (though you then get into version incompatabilities if you mix-matxh versions).

If that is the case, this "workaround" sure is quite a lame workaround. I'm not keen on mixing an outdated library with a newer release anyway, because updates often are security updates too.

The Send To:-Menus in Winamp are quite incoherent. "MusicIP Mix" is present inside the Media Library in right-click menus on items in:
* Local Media, all sub-categories
* Playlists
* MusicIP Mix (when playlist is generated), but it is the only item here!

It is not present on the bookmarks page and in the active playlist window.

I can imagine of two ways to still get an item from active playlist to MusicIP. Either open Local Media and type in the title name or artist, what's most specific respectively.
Or: first create a playlist in Media Library/Playlists and move it to the top of playlists [attn. not in playlists window, but in the tree].
Then always send items from the active playlist to this playlist, open the playlist, click on the just added item and click on the Send To:-Button, then "MusicIP". (If no item is selected, MusicIP will try to match all titles in this playlist.)

I can't decide which is less inconvenient.

To discuss the interesting topic which one generates the "better" playlists, I'd like to refer to here: Gracenotes' Playlist Generator vs. Predixis Music Magic (MusicIP).
I found that both have their plus factor. In respect of convenience, the current Playlist Generator sure is the best solution ever (so far).
Daz, you wrote of two other options?? Which are they?
