I haven't check other posts since the winamp sent me an email with about 20 posts to check that had nothing to do with my problem.

I'll make this simple, When I add about 800 or more songs to my playlist, whether all at once or a little at a time, it creates duplicates of the entire list. Sure it's easy to delete the duplicate list {following the first one} But when I do this, about 200 songs are missing from what I have in my entire directory. Since it's such a big list, I have no idea which ones are, I just know that 1050 songs is not the 1400 I added. And this has been happening ever since I got this many songs. No versions of winamp have fixed it. HELP!

I've noticed a similar problem. Although I've seen it with lists in the 200+ range.

What is the name of your playlist? Mine is "((home)).m3u". I also use the add dir and and file options to build the list and then use save list to save over the existing list when adding files.

I'm wondering if the save list routine isn't doing the doubling? My current list shows 1226 but I only have 201 mp3s in my folder.

I notice that at this point I have 8 copies of most of the songs but only 2 copies of the song I last added and 4 copies of the next to last song I added.

Since I use randomize and repeat it isn't the worst problem in the world but I find it very hard to find a specific song from the playlist...

Arg, my browser just reset and erased all i had. I'll be short this time.

It probably just do it around the 200+ range, that's about where I notice the duplicates come in. It really is a problem for me since when I delete these duplicates, I must be getting some of the non-duplicates as well, since the list number doesn't match the amount I actually have. {Like 200 less} I don't save my playlist, just use the add button, I can;t see why it'd make a difference, when I do use it it doesn't at all.

I hope winamp fixes this soon, there may be a song in my directory I've never even heard because of this!
