MP3 playing jams in 2.73

Every now and then, maybe once in half an hour an MP3 just jams and then stops. It has even crashed my win98 couple of times. The problen isn't the in_mp3.dll, since I have tried other decoders too. There is no problem playing mods or midis. Never happened with 2.72 either... There's a bug somewhere, but I don't have a clue where it could be.

Hmm.. the problem seems to be related with internet connections. I'm running a proxy server on this machine for my second computer. When it's not running (and I also checked the box "no internet connection available") everything seems to work ok.
