I'm brand new here and signed up to reply on this thread. I've been using Winamp for over 10 years now, and it's better than ever. I use it for everything audio & video. These forums have been very helpful for getting the video configured. I also just discovered a few days ago the new EQ settings, such as ISO bands (awesome), which is why I'm here.
I did some comparison testing with both the Winamp 4Front and the Constant-Q. The 4Front attenuates high frequencies more than Const-Q. This is very important to me, since some of my music has really high treble levels, which results in too much high hat. So I'm sticking with 4Front. I don't use any of the plug-in EQFs such as the Fast Layer3 EQ in in_mp3.dll
