Got the same problem as Lanwmower233, but it seems I can't apply the same fix...

I'm already an Admin on my system, and verified all other options on the application, all seems A-Ok!

Here's my system, U'll also find attached my files for information.

SYSTEM:
  • PC : Dell Dimension E520 (DM061)
    CPU/RAM : Pentium D 3.00Ghz / 2Gb
SOUND : SigmaTel High Definition CODEC
VIDEO : ATI Radeon X1300 Pro
OS : Windows Vista Home Premium (French)
    DIRECT X : Version 10
    WINAMP Version : 5.51
    INST. TYPE : full_bundle_emusic-7plus
    PLUGINS/HJT/DxDIAG : See-Attached

ERROR : WinAmp has stopped working: Close Program.

Pleaze help me, WMP 11 is driving me up the walls!!!
So you're the administrator? But have you tried running Winamp as an administrator to see if it works? Right click a shortcut to WinAmp and in the drop-down context menu select "Properties" then in the Properties window select the "Compatibility" tab. Then select down at the bottom check the "Run this as an administrator" box. I'm sure it's the same format in French as it is in English. If you're a native French speaker I guess you'd know better than me what the French expression is for "run as an administrator" so I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out by yourself.

Anyway. Then when you run WinAmp press "Allow" to the UAC prompt that comes up asking you if you want to run this program as an administrator. And then it should work.

Sorry if you have already done this but I wasn't sure when you said you were an administrator if you were running WinAmp as an administrator or if you were just running WinAmp on an Administrator Account. You have to do the former; run it as an administrator and not just on an administrator account.

Well that's what worked for me anyway. I hope it works for you. If it works for you then it's a repeatable problem, not just on my PC and it should be fixed.
