For some reason, even if I finish the setup part, it refuses to open

...

What I mean is that even if I finish doing whatever the setup part wants, it just goes back to the setup after I click finish.
Like, I mean, it restarts the setup. I thought I probably forgot to finish something so I ended up doing the setup over ten times.

I didn't find anything that has something related to this problem and I hoped to find it here.

Can anyone help?

While I wait for a reply, I'll look back at the other threads that have the Q&A and see if I overlooked anything.

winamp the installer will install.... then another setup program will run to set file associations.

winamp should then be run from the shortcut on desktop or quickstart or in the start menu.

please make sure your not running windows on a guest account as it won't allow winamp to save its settings.

the other thing it might be is a bad third party plugin from a previous install. we suggest a clean reinstall to fix most of the problems caused by these.(see the forum faq)
