Skins no longer working

In my new Windows Vista system the winamp (LATEST VESRION) suddenly stopped being able to display the new downloaded skins. Only the classic works now. Any Ideas what happened?
I'm an experienced IT guy and tried all I could. Thanks

Mark

There are a few reasons that I can think of immediately for this behavior...
  1. You mistakingly downloaded/installed the Lite version of Winamp instead of the Full version, which has absolutely no modern skin support and will only display classic (.wsz) skins, regardless of whether or not you already have/downloaded modern skins (.wal files).
  2. You downloaded the Full version, but in the installer options, you chose Lite (which would have the same effect as #1 above)
  3. You downloaded the Full version but UNchecked modern skin support in the installer options, in which case you'll have to re-install Full and leave that option checkmarked

Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp. Instead, either start a NEW TOPIC or post a REPLY in the appropriate thread in these forums. OK. Very good!
But try which? Which was it?
Do you know? Was it 1, 2, or 3?
Just curious

Its Fixed!

Sorry, for the vagueness. I completely uninstalled, removed the directory, cleaned the registry and reinstalled with the full version. That did the trick! Thanks mark
