2 Quick Questions

Hey guys, whats up. I apologize if these questions have been answered already - I searched the forums to avoid this, so my bad if I missed it. Anyways, I have 2 minor questions to ask...

1) I am using Winamp on my laptop. My laptop has, I guess, Quickset buttons that allow shortcut controls to Windows Media Player (volume, play, stop, etc.) Is there a plugin/patch that will allow this to work for Winamp as well?

2) Not that it's truly bad, but I've noticed a drop in song quality between Windows Media Player and Winamp. WMP plays songs (when I have to) clearly without disruption, unless of course, I have a poor quality song. I've noticed that with Winamp though, the sound quality seems muffled, and isn't as clear as WMP. Does/has anyone else encountered this problem? Has anyone else noticed a dip in sound quality?

1 - Have you tried enabling the Global Hotkeys in Prefs -> Global Hotkeys? If that still doesn't work try the other box (WM_Command somthing) as well.

2 - What output plugin are you using? What settings do you have enabled for Replay Gain? Are you using a DSP plugin? There are so many reasons for that difference and most have nothing to do with decoding quality. Winamp's sound quality has remained the same for quite some time and only ever gets better

1 - Awesome. Thanks man, did it and it works. I went through there too, I guess I just skipped over it so I wouldn't accidentely screw anything up. Anyways, it works perfectly. Thank you very much, it's much appreciated.

2 - I know Winamp has had much better quality for me. I've been using them for years, and since the first download, it's been working to perfection. As for my plugins...

Input: 13 installed.
Output: 3 installed.
DSP/Effect: currently none, with Nullsoft Signal Processing Studio v.0.39 available....any suggestions?
