-high enough frequency to be barely audible
-required some sloppy programming
-a series of processes involved to make this; lots of tweaking

download the song with full message at
http://goto10.tsx.org
or
http://server41.hypermart.net/ayb/

then use with winamp's vis plugin: "nullsoft tiny fullscreen".. FULL INSTRUCTIONS are in id3v2 tag

Thats pretty damn nifty. I wonder how they got that in the file. I'm not downloading the song yet because its in a zipped file. Didn't anyone tell them that when you compress an already compressed file, you only shave off a few kb?

friend and i made this: put the text in there as sound. it took some ingenious programming, and then some tweaking in cool edit pro. lots of trial and error. many small challenges and limits to overcome.. but for a first try, its pretty damn good, we think.

(its in a zip file because its on a free server, and if it was .mp3 then the free host might scan for mp3s and delete it.. so this will keep it up there longer.)

wow... how did you go about doing this? seems it would be very difficult. if i understand spectrum analisys enough, I believe I understand how you did it, but an explanation would be very interesting.

HOW?

You are not gonna get the answer that easily. Go ahead and try. But honestly, for now, if you can't figure it out, it's best that you don't know.
never mind. Let me take a crack at it.

ok... for the first up and down line of a B, wouldn't you add some sounds that are in a asigned area of frequencies, like 14k to 15k. make this sound last for 1/8th a second and it'll show up on the spectrum analisys as the left side of the B. Then carfully use this method to input the other sections of the the B and the rest of the sentence.

This is a total guess. Flame me if I'm way off

snyder,
yeah something like that...
concept is fairly simple, but being successful is challenging.. especially considering that you want the song to still sound normal

i tried creating some 'blocks of sound' for what it would take to build text, and its kind of painstaking, and sucks. ill be trying a bit more.. just a cool idea to play around with

so yeah, good job

That would, like all watermarking schemes, cause unnecessary noise.
