Is there any idea?
Hi guys,
I am newbie here and it is my first threat. My problem is that I’m going to be moving to California in a month or so. I can take my iPod with me but the computer is my mothers. My uncle will have a computer and I may get a laptop. I’m wondering how I can transfer my library to a different computer. Your any advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance! i also have almost the same IP as the guy that posted spam two posts down. |

1. Copy the music files to the new PC from the old PC, from a backup disk, or even straight from your iPod.
2. Install Winamp on the new PC. 3. Add a watch folder in Winamp's media library preferences for each folder containing your music on the new PC. 4. Have Winamp scan the watch folders. It'll load up all your music into the new Winamp library on the new PC just as it existed in your old one. There may be a way to copy the actual library db, but I always prefer copying the music then reloading a new library in the new Winamp installation. This way I avoid, among other issues, potential bad file paths if ALL of the music files are not in exactly the same folder location on the new PC as they were on the old one. I'm a psychosomatic sister running around without a leash. |
